>Hoover Dam Monument

Boulder, Colorado, USA

The inscription of the monument reads, “They died to make the desert bloom. To the workers who lost their lives while constructing the dam.”

The dam was built during the Depression Years of 1931 to 1935 and it is believed that 96 workers died in its construction.
