     E-Course Addresses Office Health and Safety

Office Health and Safety provides a practical introduction to office health and safety for managers, supervisors, employees, human resources professionals, and health and safety committee members.

The course describes the components of a health and safety program, how to recognize workplace hazards in an office environment and preventive measures. Topics include ergonomics, lighting, workplace stress, indoor air quality, as well as general safety concerns such as safe lifting and storage, slips, trips and falls, hazardous equipment, chemical and electrical hazards, workplace violence fire prevention and evacuation.

As with all of CCOHS’ e-courses, Office Health and Safety is delivered over the Internet in an e-learning format that makes training easily accessible and cost effective. The course, takes about 60 minutes to complete.

The course is available in both English and French.

It is offered at introductory pricing, a 25% savings, until October 31, 2005
