CCOHS Manager Eleanor Westwood Awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

 

Hamilton, ON (December 17, 2012) – Steve Horvath, President and Chief Executive Officer at the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, announced today that Eleanor Westwood, Manager of Communications at the Centre, has been awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, in recognition for excellence in service delivery.

 

“On behalf of all the staff at CCOHS, I congratulate Eleanor on her receipt of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, which is one of the highest honours that can be bestowed upon a Canadian citizen, “ said Horvath. “This award is a testament to Eleanor’s dedication to public service, her strong leadership capabilities and her passion for volunteering at community organizations such as Threads for Life,” he added. “Eleanor’s efforts to promote CCOHS’ mandate through effective communications have brought national and international awareness to our organization.”

 

The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is given to Canadian citizens who have demonstrated distinguished service to their fellow citizens, to their community and to their country.
