CCOHS Offers Resources to Promote Health and Safety In Support of NAOSH Week

Hamilton, ON (May 3, 2011) – This year, North American Health and Safety Week runs from May 1 to 7, and is a great opportunity for workplaces and employees to engage in health and safety activities. To help those who are interested in participating, The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has released several free resources.

With Safety & Health: A Commitment for Life! What’s Your Plan? as the theme for 2011, CCOHS will broadcast a selection of free webinars and podcasts on young and aging workers, smoking cessation and noise controls in the workplace. These resources were developed to help raise awareness of these important issues and to ultimately improve the health, safety and well-being of workers.

Webinars:

  • Help Your New Workers Stay Safe with Jan Chappel, senior technical specialist at CCOHS, on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, 1 p.m. EST.
