Barbeque Hazards

Students can probably identify a number of biological hazards that they may encounter during a barbeque or picnic. Have students suggest ways to prevent people being exposed to the following hazards:

Insect Stings Netting around tables, insect repellent
Cold food turns warm Bring coolers with ice, put food away after serving, keep food cold
Undercooked Meat Cook food thoroughly, use meat thermometers
Dirty water sources Bring own drinking water
