Free Webinars on the Young and the Aging
Learn about specific risks for these two groups of workers
Young, new and migrant workers need special attention because it has been shown that they are at more risk of injury than their older or more experienced counterparts, especially in the first four to six months of employment.
Yet, as the workforce gets older, attention must also be paid to aging workers. Research has shown that a variety of physical and mental changes occur as people age. How do these changes affect people and the jobs they do?
Register for free recorded webinars from CCOHS that discuss new and young workers, as well as the aging workforce, from an occupational health and safety perspective. These on-demand sessions explore possible impacts and discuss solutions on how to keep everyone safe and free of injury, regardless of age or the level of experience.
To view these webinars, simply register and then gather in your meeting room and watch them as a group or if you prefer, individually at your desk. All you need is a computer, Internet connection and computer speakers or headphones.

Easily Create Compliant Product Labels
Be among the first to try the new CANLabel online tool
When it comes to working safely with chemicals, WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Material Information System) labels are important because they are the first alert that there may be hazards associated with using the product covered by WHMIS legislation. The labels also tell what precautions to take when using the product. In addition, labels also inform the person that there is a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) available which contains more detailed information on the product.
Improve chemical safety by creating compliant supplier and workplace labels with CCOHS' online tool, CANLabel. Features include:
- WHMIS (supplier and workplace) and OSHA formats
- Hazard classifications drive phrase options
- Automatic translations of standard phrases to French and Latin American Spanish
- The ability to customize phrases
- Compatibility with off-the-shelf adhesive stationary
- Multiple label sizes
Experience CANLabel for yourself and discover how easy it is to start creating compliant product labels, by test driving the demonstration version. Note that the full release of CANLabel will include GHS format and pictograms, as well as company-wide access to print labels from all locations with Internet access.
