Free Webinars Offer Tips on Staying Healthy in the Workplace

 

HAMILTON, ON (October 6, 2010) – This October, the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) is offering two free webinars as part of Canada's Healthy Workplace Month®.

Implementing Healthy Eating Programs in the Workplace will be presented live on Wednesday, October 13, at 1 p.m. EDT. Heather Harvey of the Ontario Public Health Association will discuss how employers, managers and supervisors can implement their own healthy eating programs, as well as the benefits of doing so.

Make the Move: Staying Physically Active at Work will be presented live on Thursday, October 14, at 1 p.m. EDT. Angela Torry from the Alberta Centre for Active Living and Lindsay Wright of Be Fit For Life will team up to discuss the importance of physical activity at work and how it can be achieved, from the perspectives of both the employer and employee.

Canada's Healthy Workplace Month®, running October 4 to 31, encourages workplaces and employees to work together to create healthier workplaces and build a culture of trust and respect in which people are happy and healthy.
