Helping to eliminate workplace hazards

HAMILTON, ON (December 21, 2010) – Accurately identifying, assessing and controlling hazards is an essential part of a properly functioning workplace health and safety program. To enable organizations to do this, the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has developed a new three-module e-Learning course.

Hazard Identification, Assessment and Control equips organizations to control or eliminate hazards in the workplace, as well as prevent accidents, injuries, property damage and downtime. It outlines proven techniques for identifying hazards, assessing risks and controlling hazards for everyday situations.

This course is recommended for management and supervisors, health and safety committee members, and maintenance and facilities staff.

CCOHS courses are unique in that they are reviewed by expert representatives from labour, employers and government to ensure the content and approach are unbiased and credible. All CCOHS e-learning courses are available in English and French.
