New Canadian employment legislation service to help stay compliant

HAMILTON, ON (May 31, 2011) – With Canadian employment laws constantly changing, it’s getting more difficult to stay compliant. It can be challenging and time-consuming to keep current, but the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has compiled all Canadian employment-related legislation to provide easy, convenient access to information, outlining responsibilities and duties under the law to help meet compliance needs.

Canadian Employment Legislation includes the full text of employment standards, labour relations, workers' compensation, pay equity, human rights and privacy legislation. Information can be found quickly and easily by searching legislation and guides by words or phrases in just one jurisdiction, or across all jurisdictions. Users can also access the Canadian Employment Legislation on Blackberry, iPhone or PDA.

To keep current, users receive a Monthly Update Report highlighting amendments and monitoring the progress of upcoming legislation. Users also have access to the CCOHS e-mail notification service allowing them to track changes to specific documents (Acts, Regulations and Guides) found in the service.

Also, by subscribing to CCOHS’ RSS Feed, users will be notified when new content has been added or when it has been amended, to help to stay on top of legislative changes.

Bundled with CCOHS enviroOSH Legislation service or on its own, Canadian Employment Legislation provides current, reliable and easily accessible legislative information.
