Free Webinars Offer Canadians Pandemic Planning and Social Media Tips

 

HAMILTON, ON (September 21, 2009) –The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) is offering two free webinars as part of Canada's Healthy Workplace Month® taking place in October.

Planning for a Pandemic will be presented live on Thursday, September 24 at 1:00 PM EDT. Jan Chappel, CCOHS Sr. Technical Specialist in Occupational Health and Safety, will share tips on how organizations and individuals can plan and prepare for the pandemic flu outbreak.

Promoting Health and Safety Through Social Media will be webcast live on Wednesday, October 14 at 1:00 PM EDT. Krista Travers, CCOHS Marketing Communications Officer, will discuss the basics of social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook, and how they can be used to help promote workplace health and safety.

Following the live presentations, the recorded webinars will be available on the CCOHS website.
