CCOHS Celebrates NAOSH Week by Offering Free Webinars

HAMILTON, ON (April 23, 2009) –The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) will be participating in the 2009 North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week from May 3 to 9.

With Make it Home Safe Every Day as the theme for 2009, NAOSH Week strives to focus the attention of employers, employees, the general public, and all workplace safety and health partners on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home and in the community.

The NAOSH website at http://www.naosh.org offers a variety of tools, suggestions and resources to help people and organizations plan, create and participate in their own NAOSH events.

CCOHS is celebrating NAOSH Week by producing a series of live and recorded webinars on current health and safety topics. All webinars are free and take place from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

For an easy way to share the information, the webinars can be run in boardrooms and venues. This is an effective way for health and safety committee members, managers, supervisors and health and safety professionals to participate in the session and it can also serve as a platform for further discussion. The full NAOSH Week webinar program, with dates and times, are posted on the CCOHS website.
