This WHMIS Hazard Symbols poster identifies the six different classifications of chemical groups with similar hazards or properties, along with their symbols.
Labels are required by WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Material Information System) laws. They serve as the first alert that there may be hazards associated with using the product covered by WHMIS legislation. The labels also tell what precautions to take when using the product. In addition, labels also inform workers that a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) exists for that product.
Display copies of this poster throughout your workplace to help reinforce knowledge of these critical safety symbols.
This poster is printed double-sided, with English on one side and French on the other.
