CCOHS’ Finance Department is responsible for centralized financial analysis; full-cycle accounting; financial, government and transparency reporting; management of Access to Privacy and Information Requests, cash management; internal controls; procurement and order processing. As an integral member of the Finance team, the Policy and Reporting Specialist will lead the federal reporting function, including transparency and compliance reporting for areas under the department’s responsibility, in both official languages.

About the Role

  • As a Financial Systems and Reporting Specialist, you will oversee the government reporting process at CCOHS and ensure that the organization strictly adheres to Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) directives. Leveraging your expert financial analysis skills, you will support the effective and timely submission of reports, and track work progress ensuring all government reporting deadlines and requirements are met.
  • In this role, you will modernize CCOHS financial systems and processes by gathering information and making recommendations for improvement to the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer (VP/CFO). You’ll establish and uphold online approval levels and procedures to maintain ongoing compliance.
  • You will work collaboratively with the Corporate Secretary to research, interpret and provide financial information required to respond to incoming parliamentary questions, Access to Information (ATIP) and Privacy Act requests.

What You Have

  • Graduate of a minimum three-year program from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or closely related field.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Must have strong financial analysis experience.
  • Experience with public sector reporting, ERP integration and the use of business intelligence tools are strong assets.
  • Must have extensive knowledge and experience working with various software types such as ERP systems (preferably Acumatica) as well as the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Must understand the integration of various accounting systems (eg., Acumatica, CDFS, SPS, CFMRS, Power BI, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset.
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities and produce accurate reports is essential.

Salary

Within the range of

$95,926 to $116,237 (CCOHS-10) per annum.
