About the Role

  • As a 3D Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and redefining 3D graphics for our eLearning courses. Utilizing your creative design skills, you will oversee environment design, asset design and character design for our courses, while ensuring all developed content meets universal design, CCOHS standards, and accessibility guidelines. Reporting to the Manager, Education Services, this role also provides you with the opportunity to be an integral part of the planning and creative direction of the service unit.
  • Collaboration will be key to success in this role. You will work closely with other members of the Education Services team, and staff in other service units, to generate highly accurate 3D graphics for immersive eLearning courses and microlearning modules. By participating in the post-course launch review, you will find ways to keep our eLearning courses engaging, with the ultimate goal being continuous enhancement of course content.

What You Have

  • Post-secondary education in 3D graphics design and at least three years’ experience with 3D graphics design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with and excellent knowledge of 3D graphics software (e.g., one or more of Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya, Adobe Dimension and Substance, Blender, etc.) is required.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail for proofing/reviewing and troubleshooting.
  • Good collaboration skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills to be part of and effective in a team.
  • Strong organizational/project management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of eLearning development process and stages is an asset.
  • The ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset.

Salary

Within the range of

$77,191 to $99,383 (CCOHS-08) per annum.
