Jan Chappel, Senior Technical Specialist, Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) will be sharing her occupational health and safety expertise at today’s Western Conference on Safety, hosted by the Pacific Safety Center.

This session will reveal how the implementation of Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) will have significant impacts on manufacturers and suppliers of chemical products as well as on employers and users of chemical products. In light of recent Canadian legislation, a summary of changes and relevant timelines regarding Canadian WHMIS and GHS will be presented along with tools and resources that may be of value during the transition.
