“Safety and Health Week is a call to action for partnership between employers, employees, industry and the public to reach the goal of safe workplaces and communities. This is a priority for our network 365 days in the year. The week provides us with the opportunity to showcase and celebrate the success of these relations.”

- Christl Aggus, President, Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE)

"Imagine a world with no more work-related deaths, no more injuries or occupational diseases, where everyone comes home from work healthy and safe. What a wonderful world that will be! Together, we all have an opportunity to create that world – during Safety and Health Week, and each day of the year."

- Shirley Hickman, Founder and Executive Director, Threads of Life

“The pandemic rooted health and safety firmly into our day-to-day lives like we’ve never seen. The challenge now, as we resume our lives and businesses become fully operational, is to ensure that safe work remains a priority and a visible part of operations. Together with our partners, we hope Safety and Health Week inspires everyone to keep up the momentum surrounding health and safety and do their part to create work environments where people don’t get sick, injured or die because of their job.”

- Anne Tennier, President and Chief Executive Officer, Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS)
