Managing Pain from the Demands of Work

December 7, 2017 – Hamilton, ON – Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS)

Today the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) launched the e-course, Managing Pain from Physical and Psychosocial Workplace Demands, to help workers, including managers and supervisors, better understand the impact that common physical and psychosocial demands in the workplace can have on musculoskeletal disorders.

Participants of this course can expect to learn how and why individuals experience pain, as well as the link between workplace physical and psychosocial demands. The e-course also includes lifestyle practices and strategies to reduce pain, and resources that may help improve the physical and mental health of workers.

  • The e-course, Managing Pain from Physical and Psychosocial Workplace Demands, was developed in collaboration with High Point Wellness Centre. High Point Wellness has over 80 years of experience in the Canadian and American marketplaces providing health care solutions for a variety of public and private industries, insurance sectors, workers' compensation and consulting organizations.
  • CCOHS’ courses are unique in that they are reviewed by expert representatives from labour, employers and government to ensure the content and approach are unbiased and credible.
  • All of CCOHS’ e-learning courses are available in English and French.
