• Identify and describe the characteristics of three risk factors that can make manual materials handling hazardous
• Identify common musculoskeletal disorders that can result from improper manual materials handling
• Choose appropriate mechanical or assistive aids for manually handling materials in various circumstances
• Identify proper manual materials handling techniques that can be used to prevent injuries
• Identify the role of different individuals in preventing injuries from manual materials handling
