Course Description

Sexual harassment, generally described as any unwelcome behaviour or conduct of a sexual nature, remains a significant issue in Canadian workplaces and throughout the world. Itís also against the law. Through education and a positive work culture, everyone in your organization needs to understand their rights and their responsibility to recognize and address sexual harassment in the workplace.

This course focuses on the role that employers, managers, and supervisors play, from developing written policies, addressing unacceptable behaviour, and modeling respectful and professional behaviour.

  • Taking action

Target Audience

This course is designed for employers, managers and supervisors.

The related course Workplace Sexual Harassment: For Employees focuses on the role that frontline supervisors and workers play, from recognizing unacceptable behaviours, reporting incidents, and taking action as a bystander.

About Video Courses

This online video-based course can be taken anywhere there is a computer, tablet, or mobile device and Internet access. Learn at your own pace and in your own environment at your own convenience.

You will be able to take the v-course or assign it to someone else from your CCOHS e-commerce account immediately after you complete your purchase. Please note that if you are purchasing 100 or more v-course sessions, you will instead be provided with a Learning Management System (LMS) to assign and manage all your v-courses. Please allow up to 72 hours for your LMS to be activated.

Upon successful completion of this v-course, learners will be able to print a certificate of completion. Those with an LMS will be able to issue certificates to their trainees upon verification of successful course completion. Learn more about v-courses.


What are the benefits of visual based learning?

The human brain processes video faster than it does text. The video course mode of learning effectively enhances self-learning and engages learnersí attention throughout courses. Learners can convert information to knowledge at their own pace, in manageable units, and re-watch and review material that is new to them.

What is a session?

A session is a full viewing or run-through of a v-course. If a trainee is not able to complete their course in one sitting, they may log-out and log back-in as many times as they like. However, once the trainee clicks Submit at the end of the course to register the training session as completed, the session expires.
