Farmers in Canada face many stressors as part of their daily work, many of which are beyond their control. Uncertainties such as the weather, crop yields and volatile markets, along with the long hours, isolation and financial issues, can be stressful and greatly impact their mental health and well-being. On farms and ranches across the country, these struggles can take their toll, leading to anxiety, depression, post-traumatic disorder, and even suicide.

Share these cards to help spread awareness of the importance of mental health within the agriculture and agri-food industry, and how we can better take care of and support farmers in Canada.

These information cards are printed double-sided, with English on one side and French on the other, on sturdy card stock with a UV coating for added durability. Note that a minimum order of 10 cards is required.

We also offer an infographic for sharing online.

The content for this fast facts card was developed in partnership with the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association.
